Larena’s research focus and conference presentation
Larena’s research has been informed by an interdisciplinary approach, drawing primarily from sport management and sociology of sport disciplines. It has also been marked by serendipitous opportunities to pursue topics that extended her research agenda, required learning about new concepts and theories, and allowed her to use different methodological approaches. For the 2025 EASM conference, she will focus on the value of serendipity in research and how researchers can make themselves available for serendipitous opportunities.
