Professor Gábor Géczi
Director of the Institute of Economic and Social Sciences and the Technology and Knowledge Transfer Center and at the Hungarian University of Sports Science
Head of the Department of Sports Management
Scientific Director of the EASM2025 conference
I started as a university lecturer in 2009, and since 2014, I have been the Head of the Department of Sports Management. In 2021, I became the director of the Institute of Economic and Social Sciences, and from 2022 I am also working as the director of the Technology and Knowledge Transfer Center.
My field of expertise is sports science and health science, primarily sports management, sports theory and practice, especially ice hockey, as well as event and facility management. In addition, I place great emphasis on long-term development, especially in the field of talent management and sports development.
I gained several years of experience in various fields of sports management both on the state and civil side. I actively participated in the management of budgetary institutions, sports clubs and associations, as well as in the development of sports development strategies. I also worked with individual athletes and teams, where the focus was on performance optimization and talent management.
As an event manager, I also participated in the organization and management of sports events, where logistical, financial and marketing tasks played an important role. I also deal with the management of sports facilities, which includes development and efficient operation.
Organizing a global event with more than 500 people requires serious coordination, precise planning and coordination of the diverse expectations of the participants. It is also important for us to stay true to EASM’s heritage and offer a program that is professionally outstanding, but also innovative and inspiring.
In my opinion, the special feature of EASM 2025, in addition to the high professional content, is the unique execution of the student conference and the integration of many new ideas into the program, which will provide a unique experience for the participants. In addition to the facilities of the venue, we strive to make the conference memorable with a dynamic, diverse program in addition to the highest quality professional content. We also want to address researchers and professionals from new regions, we consider their integration into the EASM family an important goal.
In addition, the practical implementation of sustainability in all segments of the conference, from organization to execution, will also be a novelty that will contribute to making the event not only professionally but also socially decisive.
