The European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Conference 2025 is taking place at the Hungarian University of Sports Science – it is time to take a closer look at the facilities.
The 33rd European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Conferencewill be held at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) in the heart of Buda this September. The university, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is offering unique facilities not only to teachers and students, but conference participants as well.

The university buildings are not only spaces for scientific work but also provide a home for sports and physical activities, reflecting the commitment to sports and the institution’s mission.
The main building hosting the conference opened in 2018. Located at the heart of the campus, its modern, functional design emphasizes the close connection between academic work and sports. The building was designed to provide an ideal environment for students, offering the opportunity to coordinate various disciplines and research areas. The main building houses educational rooms, a library, and various administrative offices. Modern technological equipment and well-designed spaces help students and faculty ensure that the work done at the university is both efficient and of high quality.

Sports facilities play a key role in the life of the Hungarian University of Sports Science. The newest and most outstanding facility of the university is the Dr. Koltai Jenő Sports Centre, which served as the training venue for the 2023 World Athletics Championships. It features two tennis courts, an athletics track, two football fields, a gym, a seminar room, and a multifunctional hall. The sports complex provides excellent preparation and training opportunities for students and professional athletes alike.
Around the main building, you can find the Hauszmann houses, which are under heritage protection, housing specialized classrooms and research laboratories. Among these are labs such as the sports nutrition, biomechanics, motion analysis and neuro-mechanical and movement controllaboratories, which apply the latest advancements and innovations in sports science.

The Hungarian University of Sports Science truly serves as the center of Hungarian sports and sports science. Located in the main building is the BOM – Foundation for Hungarian Sport, which has been supporting the most talented young Hungarian elite athletes for over a decade. In 2024, the Hungarian Olympic Committee, founded in 1895, which is Hungary’s third oldest still-operating social organization, moved to the campus. It is also one of the first national Olympic committees. One of the annex buildings houses the main organization for Hungarian university sports, the Hungarian University Sports Federation, which has been organizing domestic university sports life since 1907. The Hungarian Sports Journalists’ Association is also located at the university campus. This association not only unites Hungarian sports journalists but also manages important publications related to Hungarian sports, and also organizes major events.

The university’s Water Sports and Recreation Center, located 40 kilometers from Budapest on the shore of the country’s second-largest lake called Velencei-tó, is an ideal location for both water sports enthusiasts and recreational athletes. The facility, which also includes a hotel, is suitable for conferences, training sessions and courses. The PhD and Student Seminar to be held before the conference will take place here.
The Hungarian University of Sports Science forms a complex building block that is in harmony with its commitment to sports and the expectations of academic work. The university’s buildings not only support students’ studies but also contribute to the development of sports culture and research in the field of sports science. The architectural design and sports infrastructure of the university exemplarily reflect the close intertwining of physical education and academic work.
