Hungarian University of Sport Science is located at 42-48 Alkotás street, 1123 Budapest, in a central and accessible part of the city. For visitors arriving from various key transportation hubs in Budapest, we have compiled recommended routes via public transport and by car.
Arrival from Keleti railway station
From Keleti railway station, take the M2 (red) metro line toward Déli railway station. Once there, continue either by foot (approx. 10 minutes) or by taking tram 61 or 17 for two stops to Csörsz street. The university entrance is just a short walk from the tram stop.
Arrival from Nyugati railway station
From Nyugati railway station, board tram 4 or 6 heading toward Széll Kálmán square. At Széll Kálmán square, transfer to tram 61 or 17, and travel to Csörsz street. From there, the university is just a few minutes on foot.
Arrival from Déli railway station
The university is located very close to Déli railway station. You can either walk (around 10 minutes) or take tram 61 or 17 for two stops to Csörsz street. This is the most direct access point.
Arrival from Liszt Ferenc International Airport
There are two main ways to reach the university from the Liszt Ferenc International Airport:
• By car or taxi: The distance is approximately 25 km and the journey takes about 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic.
• By public transport: Take the 100E airport bus to Deák Ferenc square, then transfer to the M2 metro line toward Déli railway station. From there, either walk or take tram 61 or 17 for two stops to Csörsz street, and walk to the university.
