Sustainability
Sustainability
This year’s conference focuses on sustainability in sport management, one of the most pressing issues of our time, which also affects the world of sports. The organizers have made an effort to ensure that sustainability is not only discussed in the presentations but also reflected in the overall organization and execution of the event.
Throughout the conference, we have planned several activities to raise awareness about sustainability and promote a more conscious and healthier lifestyle.
TrainChallenge
We launched a challenge to encourage participants to choose public transportation instead of arriving in Budapest by car or airplane.

Tree planting
As a symbolic gesture of sustainability, we will plant fruit trees during the Student Seminar – a small but lasting contribution to a greener future.
Step Challenge
We hope that whenever possible, participants will choose walking over using public transport, cars, or taxis. To support this, we are organizing a step-counting challenge during the conference. A mobile app will make it easier and more enjoyable to track participants’ steps throughout the event.
Within the app, participants will also find a sustainability quiz, allowing them to test their knowledge of environmental protection and sustainability topics.
Gifts
We wanted to make sure that every participant could take home a small souvenir from the conference. Each person can choose their own gift — taking only what they really need. Naturally, the selection of gifts was also made with sustainability in mind. More details will be shared soon.
Food
We aim to use locally sourced ingredients for the meals served at the conference. Any leftover food will be donated to charity, further contributing to our commitment to social responsibility.
Water Consumption
Water refill stations will be available throughout the conference venue, allowing participants to refill their bottles and reduce the use of single-use plastics.
